today was crew's blessing day.

kenny gave this little guy the most beautiful blessing.

he even talked about crew's...wait for it...sisters!!!???

i had given up on the idea of girls long ago, but maybe...

we are so grateful for all the love and support from our fam and friends.

we waited too long for the fam pics. this is the best one we got:)

happy halloween to all!!!

this is one of my favorite holidays. when else can you torture your children by forcing them

to dress up in costumes they hate, then attempt to get them in bed while they are still

on a sugar buzz???

always martha stewarts everything up:)

{tis the season...}

for fhe last night we carved our pumpkins.

tate lasted all of about 5 minutes, but ken and i had a good time.

{...and so life resumes}

i finally got 2 seconds to myself and instead of attending to the mountains

of laundry or heaps of dishes...i blog!

life is going well at the peterson's pad. little crew is such an angel! i don't want

to brag/jinks myself, but this little guy only gets up once (sometimes not at all) at night.

when he is awake, he is perfectly content with just hangin out in his swing or on the coach.

what a welcome change from our #1.

speaking of our #1 he is transitioning beautifully. he mostly is uninterested, but occasionally gives very soft kisses and loves to share his toys. what a blessing!

so we are doing well,
and all the while enjoying the fall.

our nelson fam took tatie to thanksgiving points corn belly's. he had a ball.

the second time around really is a million times easier than the first. it also helps to
have such supportive friends and family!!!

he's here and he's a he!

so we went to bed saturday night just like we always do.

at 130 ken was awakened by a fist to the ribs and a very surprised voice telling him

my water just broke. we packed up called grammie nelson to come and stay

with the very unsuspecting tate, and off we went. 5 hours, one fabulous epidural, a

random doctor that barely made it to catch our little one, and one push later...our second little boy was here!

with minimal damage to the mama:) he is quite the linebacker however...

thanks to our friends and fam for all the love and support we have received!!!

and for trusting us with one of his own...again!

{too tired to blog...}

well, when you are this prego and its been this hot out...

its hard to have energy to do much of anything besides the bare necessities.

so here is a feeble attempt at catching up.

well, actually we went to kens fam cabin first.

tate loved riding all the 4 wheelers and dirt bikes.

he loved watching his daddy show off too!

after the fun family reunion at the cabin, we got into the car (after changing a flat...)

to meet up with some friends in LAKE POWELL!!!

and what would lake powell be without a little fishie, fishie???

kenny always heads up the fishing excursion with the kids.

he caught the largest, stinkiest, ugliest carp i have ever seen!

even tate thought he was ugly!

but don't worry members of PETA, we believe in catch and release.

(even if it means releasing (or launching) down the slide off the houseboat:)

they all loved sitting in the back of the boat watching ken put on a wake boarding show...

i wish i was a better photographer and could capture the love affair between a boy and his board. kenny really is x-games bound...hes amazing!

even when tatie wasn't in the water...he was wishing he were.

a big shout out to the clark fam for such a fun week! we had such a great time.
