{crewbie-doo turns two...}

we celebrated crews second birthday last week.

crew-bie,sometimes i cant believe your two, and other

times i cant believe your only two:)it seems as if

you have been with us always.

we celebrated with some family and friends surrounded

by a few of crews favorite things... 

crew loves all things blue, so we incorporated
lots if his favorite color...

anyone who knows this little guy, knows his first
love is (and probley always will be) his woobie.

and coming in a close second would be his little
monkey he affectionately refers to as, "za-za."

and what would a favorite things party be without both 
of his loves front and center?  a goodie bag
filled with treats, bubbles and bouncy balls closes
out the top three.

 

i think the only competition a woobie, a za-za,
and some treats were to have, would be some good friends
and family there to spend the evening with.


crew, you are an absolute joy to us.

{farwell to summer...}

hard to believe summer is behind us,
and we are doing this again...

preschool brings out the goofball in
this normally shy and quiet little guy.
he loves it!

{at the cabin...}

boy, did we have a fun

   weekend at the cabin!!!

    all 9 of pappa and gramma sue's grand kids were there

ryder,lulu,tate,ashton,ellie,alex,crew,jude and haws(not pictured, napping:)

gramma sue lead us on so many adventures!

we went hunting for snakes and bugs.

(plastic ones of course, you know, the best kind)

we watched shows

and ate lots and lots of treaties!

we wrestled with pappa.

                     

we even dressed up like pirates

and hunted for buried treasure...

we had some good times on the trampoline.

and can you believe no one even got hurt...well seriously anyway:) 

 we also went on lots of 4 wheeler rides.

                                                                              

it was so fun to spend the weekend with our fam.

 gramma sue should open a day care:)

our marriage is turning five.

i'd give anything for that waistline again...ugh!

i change my mind, i would much rather have my three little munchkins.

plus, these rolls of gooey-ness remind me of them;)

                           

today i awoke to flowers, new shoes (that he picked out himself) the sweetest letter, and a box of junior mints.

sometimes its hard to believe its only been five years,

and sometimes it feels like yesterday.

i do know, the last 5 years have been the best of all my 29.

i still get butterflies.

i still have to pinch myself to make sure i'm not dreaming.

i still cant wait for you to walk in the door.

i still cant believe you chose me.

i still look forward to the next 5 + forever.

ken, you are the best thing that is mine.

i love you more everyday.

dear baby haws,

last week was your blessing day. (august 1st) and what a beautiful day it was!

your daddy gave you the most beautiful blessing. he blessed you to always have a deep love for the lord.

he blessed you to be a leader among your siblings. he blessed you to have a strong and able

body that would help you carry out your mission here on earth. he also let you know what a joy

you are to our family. 

you are so lucky little haws,

 to have a father who honors his

priesthood, and  grampies who do too.

there was a lot of yummy food.

and there were a lot of family

and friends there who love you.

of course your big brothers were there too.

they both love you so much. haws, what do you

think the chances are of them holding still

for a family picture?

baby haws, may i echo your dad by saying what a joy you are to us! you have brought so much love and happiness to our home. there is so much about you that lets me know exactly where you came from. you are such a sweet, good natured baby. i love smelling your sweet sour cream breath when you giggle at me. you are the last thing i see before i go to bed and the first thing i see when i wake up, what a treat for me! no one looks at me the way you do haws. your big brown eyes follow my every move and give me the satisfaction of knowing i really did have something to do with you and your blue eyed blond haired brothers:)

haws, i know you will live up to all the blessings you were blessed with this day and so much more. may you always know how much your momma loves you little one.
