{ halloween-ing...}

happy halloween to all!!!
this is one of my favorite holidays. when else can you torture your children by forcing them
to dress up in costumes they hate, then attempt to get them in bed while they are still
on a sugar buzz???
(everything cute (besides the children) is thanks to grammie nelson who
always martha stewarts everything up:)
one of many failed attempts to get a pic with both the turtle and the giraffe looking at the camera. sorry crew that your eyes are closed and you have 4 chins...love ya.

when you are the only girl in the fam you aren't invited to many photo opts.
but its just as well, when i do sneak in its much like...one of these brown hair brown eyed
persons does not belong.
the ward trunk-0r-treat
tate (scrooge) and some of his buddies

and what is even easier then getting two kids to pose for the camera, is getting five to look. wahoo!
the peterson/ferguson grandkids minus 2

we hope every one had a fun and safe halloween!

until next year folks...

{tis the season...}

for fhe last night we carved our pumpkins.
tate lasted all of about 5 minutes, but ken and i had a good time.

the sweetest little onlooker!
happy one month baby crew.

happy haunting everyone!!!

{...and so life resumes}

i finally got 2 seconds to myself and instead of attending to the mountains
of laundry or heaps of dishes...i blog!
life is going well at the peterson's pad. little crew is such an angel! i don't want
to brag/jinks myself, but this little guy only gets up once (sometimes not at all) at night.
when he is awake, he is perfectly content with just hangin out in his swing or on the coach.
what a welcome change from our #1.
speaking of our #1 he is transitioning beautifully. he mostly is uninterested, but occasionally gives very soft kisses and loves to share his toys. what a blessing!
sweet little baby coo
(according to his big brother tate)

the brothers have a lot in common...including never looking at the camera (ugh!)

so we are doing well,
and all the while enjoying the fall.

our nelson fam took tatie to thanksgiving points corn belly's. he had a ball.

the second time around really is a million times easier than the first. it also helps to
have such supportive friends and family!!!

{ OH BOY...}

he's here and he's a he!
so we went to bed saturday night just like we always do.
at 130 ken was awakened by a fist to the ribs and a very surprised voice telling him
my water just broke. we packed up called grammie nelson to come and stay
with the very unsuspecting tate, and off we went. 5 hours, one fabulous epidural, a
random doctor that barely made it to catch our little one, and one push later...our second little boy was here!

we love our little babe so much! we are so grateful he arrived safe and sound
with minimal damage to the mama:) he is quite the linebacker however...
thanks to our friends and fam for all the love and support we have received!!!
and much thanks to our heavenly father for sending us such a beautiful healthy baby,
and for trusting us with one of his own...again!

(what a bust...)

what do ya do when your last camping trip of the year is cut short
when a huge typhoon comes tearing through your campsite??
go home early.
oh well...it was still fun.

{too tired to blog...}

well, when you are this prego and its been this hot out...
its hard to have energy to do much of anything besides the bare necessities.
so here is a feeble attempt at catching up.
