{the ya-ya sisterhood...}

see these four?

they are my besties...

every year we ditch the kiddos and boys, make funny hats,

dress the exact same (never on purpose) and head out to the

ya-ya sisterhood at thanksgiving point. there is always yummy 

food, shopping, yummy food, and did i mention yummy food?

either way, it is always a good time when i'm with these four + a mom.

(we like our brothers too, but not at the ya-ya)



nothin but love.

t-2 weeks and change until our long awaited

MUCH anticipated sisters road trip!

again, no kiddos and no boys.

and it may or may not involve famous people,

a red carpet and a certain movie premiere.

a group of confused 4&5 yr olds+

intense parents (seriously guys, it's pee wee)+

post game slurpee's=good times!

 score was never kept, but i'm pretty sure we always won!

happy birthday crew!

yesterday this little nugget turned three. (or free, which ever you prefer)

we celebrated with a small gathering of a few of his

family and friends at the beach.

and when i say beach, i mean provo beach resort in riverwoods.

it's about as beachie as utah gets.

lotsa friends and lotsa games=lotsa good times.

when offspring have a birthday, most parents usually say,

"i can't believe my baby is turning ___!"

today, i have to say, "i can't believe my baby is only three!"

crew is wise beyond his years, and always has been.

he is the first to fetch a diaper, first to say sorry, first

to give kisses and always the first to rise in the morning.

his favorite color is blue. his favorite food is spaghetti.

he worships his older brother and is so sweet to the younger.

he really is  one of the sweetest, kindest most thoughtful

little boys i know. that big toothless grin can make my heart

melt on any given day.

your family loves you more than you will ever know!

...is all boy.

this summer crew went from grey teeth to no

teeth in one blink of a nose dive to the tile floor.

six weeks later, this little 

knucklehead was at it again.

this time his sword (known to

us non-ninjas as a common kitchen

utensil, the zester) turned on 

him in battle. the end result,

three of the cutest stitches you

have ever seen. 

i have a funny feeling the staff at timpanogos

regional medical center may soon know us by

name. aye-yi-yi.

{ a reunion...}

every labor day we are lucky enough to have our annual nelson family reunion.

we look forward to it all year (some more than others, my bro. in law jordan

has a count down paper chain like  kids do at christmas:)

and this year did not disappoint.

i do realize that most of these pic's were taken on day 4 of our camping trip, hence the hair-do's, the bags under the eyes from the lack of sleep, and dirt in the fingernails ect. ect.
oh well.

{sundance...}

a little over a month ago...(ahem)

we spent a lovely weekend with my family

up at our cabin in sundance.

there is always good times to be had when your with

these folks, eating treats, riding in boats

and laughing your heads off.
