looking for a new home for the new year???

we are growing tired of commuting to downtown SLC

twice a day to get to work. ok, mostly me,

and i'm not even the one driving.

SO...

we need to rent our town home so

we can head north.

very cute and very well kept. 3 beds 2.5 baths 1 car garage and full access to clubhouse with pool, hot tub, theater room and gym. leave me a comment if you know of anyone looking.

what a fantabulous christmas we had!

it came and went with just the twinkling of these three little sets of eye's.

so before i forget just how magical it was, i better document it all...

a christmas eve visit from santa claus.

i love when christmas falls on a sunday.

being able to go to church on the day we celebrate the birth of our savior was wonderful.

i spoke in sacrament meeting (3rd time in 6 months...ayi-yi-yi)

it caused me to really reflect on that first christmas night, long ago in a tiny stable.

the reason for the season. amazing.

and to top off the perfect day, we were able to talk to our missionary brother.

his sweet spirit was beaming through the receiver of our phone. love him.

can't believe he will be home in 6 weeks. quickest 2 years ever!

i own one tube of lipstick, one. and now i own none. this is what i get for taking a shower while this one is on the loose. i have never had a child quite so, um...lets say, destructive. if ever there are a few minutes of quiet with this one, it usually means something is goin down.

when i asked haws what happened he so proudly reenacted the event with a lego and a big cheesy grin. sure makes it hard to be mad at that little face. love you little boy, but please, throw your mom a bone once in a while...

this year i have tried extra hard to get all of the crazy out of the way so i can focus on the sweet spirit that this season brings. maybe in my next thirty years ill have it down,but probably not.

first on my list:
get these three little knuckleheads to hold still long enough for a christmas card pic.
lots of blood, sweat and tears, smarties and tootsie rolls and then of course changing my mind...sigh.

second, finding the perfect tree with our cousins...family tradition.

third,

doing and seeing everything there is to do and see at thanksgiving point!

some stuff SO fun, and some stuff not so fun.

either way, i just love this season and wish it could last all year long!

{breaking dawn part one...part two}

the premiere!!!

a twelve hour drive, standing in endless lines, camping out for 4 days,

it all came down to this...

the night before.

since it took the crew two days to set up for this event, we thought we would capture the moment. it was spectacular! i have never been to a movie premiere before. i can't believe all that it takes to pull it off. all the crazies at TENT CITY told us this was the hugest thing they had ever seen.(and i believe them, for most of the people there, this was their fourth time coming. they are all camping out for hunger games too...aye-yi-yi.)

here we are waiting for the stars to arrive. we had to be there at 2:45, and the peeps didn't start comin till 5 or 6. my back was killing me...

one thing we were not expecting was all the other celebs that showed up. the darling guy from 17 again, the kardashian little sisters, cody simpson

the girl from step up, heather locklear, HGTV guy, "fox face" from hunger games

ron artest and the 1 foot tall, bruno mars.

apparently, there is a new 90210? well, they were there.

some "american idol" alums. lauren alaina could not have been sweeter.

and then THE cast...

i'm not sure of all their names so well just refer to them as their character names.

(much to the twi-moms dismay, they say they don't like it. really, twi-moms?)

i was so impressed with the way all three of them handled themselves. they spent a few moments with the media and then blew them off for the fans.

they went around to every section took pics, signed autographs and chatted.

wow! i now know what it means to be "starstruck."

the surprise of the evening. she was so sweet. i thanked her for signing my arm, she looked right at me and said, "no problem!" awkward in interviews, very nice in person.

and in my opinion, beautiful!

the idea of the evening was to get pics with our faves, but when we realized that was going to be next to impossible, instinct took over. i got ALL THREE to sign my arms.

just when we thought it couldn't get any better,

IT DID!

we all got tickets to go inside the NOKIA theater and watch the world wide premiere

of "breaking dawn-part one" with all the cast.

incredible.

what an experience this turned out to be!

i never laugh harder then when i'm with these girlies. love all of you forever.

{BREAKING DAWN part one...part one}

Since i'm fairly confident that blogger would crash if i posted ALL the pic's i have from my little trip, i've decided to break it up into two posts.

the first being

TENT CITY

the happiest place on earth

(no, seriously)

As i said in my previous post, my sisters and i showed up in LA,

(in the middle of the night thanks to our little detour we took in vegas at the H&M...love it!)

not really knowing what to expect. we knew they were handing out wristbands at 6am, but that was pretty much the extent of our knowledge. however, we were ready for anything! i had my running shoes on, my eyes on the prize, the rocky anthem playing in my mind and i wasn't going to take any prisoners. after hours of scouting out the competition and worrying about EVERYTHING, we finally got the wristbands that guaranteed us a spot at the premiere. and no one even got hurt in the process...:)

SUMMITT closed down what seemed to be all of downtown LA to create this little universe in which the very bravest and most dedicated twilight fans were to reside for the next 4 days. this is TENT CITY...

after we set up camp, (took a while because the tent we brought was too big, so we had to run and buy a new one. actually our new friend beverly ran all over town to find one for us. love ya bev.) we came to the conclusion, we didn't hold a candle to our fellow campers. i mean, we thought we were twihards. we LOVE the books and have read them a million times. we LOVE the movies and have been at every midnight showing and then waited in the nasty walmart lines in the middle of the night to be the first to OWN the new release on DVD. for heavens sake, we left our husbands and children to drive from utah to attend the world wide premiere of the second to last movie. that should count for something right? wrong. we are definitely not twihards, we are but mere fans in comparison. these people live, eat, and breath twilight. some a little too much.

check it...

So, not to be completely outdone, we got to work.
made t-shirts, check.

made posters, check.

decorated our tent, check.
embraced the crazy, double check.

we soon realized that tent city was as much for publicity as it was anything else.

we, along with all the other campers, became local celebrities being interviewed by all

the local media. and who wouldn't want to be on camera after camping for four days?

once we got home the most frequently asked questions were, what did you do all day and did you ever get to take a shower?

response:

this is the twi-fi lounge, hosted by YAHOO movies.

all day every day there were games, contests, prizes, loud music and dancing. SO fun! so much fun, we didn't want to miss out on anything. yes, we had a hotel, but it was only used for a quick shower and a quick cell phone charge. we didn't even sleep there. we did not want to miss out on anything. all this, plus you never knew who was coming to visit...

you could even marry cardboard edward.
and um, no. we had to draw the line somewhere:)

we partied all night.

every night they would show one of the three twilight movies. we became deef from the screaming...
one of the nights they had five of the bands that are featured on the soundtrack put on a concert for us. it was awesome! it was emceed by "demetri" from the volturi.
better stick to acting...love ya charlie.

as i said before, you never knew who was coming to visit us at tent city.

this guy quickly became one of our favorites. he brought us doughnuts, and totally stayed and hung out..."emmett". i know, right?

BREATHE...

OK now i'm ready.

my sissies and i are back from our wild and crazy trip to the LA premiere of "breaking dawn." we weren't exactly sure what to expect. we just kissed the kiddos, jam packed the car and took off into the sunset. after A-LOT of intense moments while waiting in line for our wristbands, camping out for four days, rubbing shoulders with the stars, experiencing a real-life massive blockbuster world wide movie premiere then actually getting into the movie and watching it with all the stars of the show...lets just say, EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED! so, after i thumb through all my bazillion pic's and try to narrow them all down, here is a sneak peak at just how close we were on the ~~red~~ black carpet...

happy birthday crew!

yesterday this little nugget turned three. (or free, which ever you prefer)

we celebrated with a small gathering of a few of his

family and friends at the beach.

and when i say beach, i mean provo beach resort in riverwoods.

it's about as beachie as utah gets.

lotsa friends and lotsa games=lotsa good times.

when offspring have a birthday, most parents usually say,

"i can't believe my baby is turning ___!"

today, i have to say, "i can't believe my baby is only three!"

crew is wise beyond his years, and always has been.

he is the first to fetch a diaper, first to say sorry, first

to give kisses and always the first to rise in the morning.

his favorite color is blue. his favorite food is spaghetti.

he worships his older brother and is so sweet to the younger.

he really is one of the sweetest, kindest most thoughtful

little boys i know. that big toothless grin can make my heart

melt on any given day.

this summer crew went from grey teeth to no

my poor little crewbie stepped into the ring with
a bed post and got TKO-ed in the first round...(this is day 2)

doesn't even seem to bother him much, in fact he is very proud of himself.

at church he walked up to three people and said, "hey, look at my owie..."

the worst part of the whole thing was him insisting on wearing those really cutie

thomas the train jammies all day...how could i say no to that sweet little quasi moto?

(day 3:)the swelling is down, but lots more beautiful purple and green tones.

even though the thermometer tells us not to,

we've been playing outside.

little tatie bug even tried skiing for the first time,

all by his big boy self. he did very well for a first timer.

i'm dying over the kiddie ski's, they are too cute!

we made the trek to d and sky's new house in elk ridge to

sled the day away. there is so much open land, kenny took crew

and did some cross country skiing too.

this little dude rarely passes up an opportunity to devour

some freshly fallen snow. actually, he isn't that picky,

it could have been sitting for weeks, be yellow and filled with rocks, dirt and worms and crewbie is

happy as a clam. the mother of all boys. have mercy.

winter, the petersons have nuttin but love,

but we are ready for spring.

i think i have stumbled upon my favorite stage

of my little peoples life so far. this little

four and a half year old, (don't even think about

leaving out the half or your name is mud) is

the silliest little thing. his jokes and funny

one liners have kenny and i in stitches all day.

he found kenny's ski goggles in the back of the car
and decided to wear them for the rest

of the day. what a character. i love you little bug, and

minus the potty talk, you are practically perfect in every way!

faster and faster every year. the decorations and festive music

come out earlier, the sales begin earlier. so before the fourth of july rolls around,

my sweet family threw me a birdie themed surprise party. my mom and sisters are famous for hosting the most fabulous soiree's around and this time was no different...

my little baby haws had a half birthday this week.
i can't believe he has been in our family for
half a year already! thinking back over the last year,
i was sent back on the emotional roller coaster i was
riding then. i was in total shock to find out we were
having another baby, and then to find out we were having
boy #3...whoa, more craziness. {you already know your momma is
crazy, don't you hawsie?} but may i say little boy,
the last six months have been such a joy. you make
everyone who meets you want one of their
own. your brothers love you, your dad loves you, and your
mom loves you. thanks for choosing us, you are the perfect fit!

SO, about a month ago (i know, i know) we, along with kenny's

whole family, made the trek to sunny san diego for ken's seester's

wedding. it was beautiful. megan was a stunning bride and everything

was perfect!

i remember being 14-ish and receiving the news my favorite cousins were

going to be moving from their home (and my families twice a year

vacation spot) in southern cal, to boring old utah. immediately i started

scheming to keep them from committing such a crime. in all my

14-ish years of wisdom, i knew this would mean the end of visits to our favorite vacation spot.

well, i was right and the scheming was unsuccessful. they moved and our semi-annual

trips came to a screeching halt. as you can tell, this has left me with some serious emotional scarring. (end of dramatic rantings:)

SO, you will have to excuse me as i gush about how much i love southern california. and while i'm at it, i might as well go on about my darling little kids who were so much fun running from waves, wearing sun kissed skin and sandy toes, while laughing with their cousins all along the way. it doesn't get any better.

we celebrated crews second birthday last week.

crew-bie,sometimes i cant believe your two, and other

times i cant believe your only two:)it seems as if

you have been with us always.

we celebrated with some family and friends surrounded

by a few of crews favorite things...

crew loves all things blue, so we incorporated
lots if his favorite color...

anyone who knows this little guy, knows his first
love is (and probley always will be) his woobie.

and coming in a close second would be his little
monkey he affectionately refers to as, "za-za."

and what would a favorite things party be without both
of his loves front and center? a goodie bag
filled with treats, bubbles and bouncy balls closes
out the top three.

i think the only competition a woobie, a za-za,
and some treats were to have, would be some good friends
and family there to spend the evening with.

we went hunting for snakes and bugs.

our marriage is turning five.

i'd give anything for that waistline again...ugh!

i change my mind, i would much rather have my three little munchkins.

plus, these rolls of gooey-ness remind me of them;)

today i awoke to flowers, new shoes (that he picked out himself) the sweetest letter, and a box of junior mints.

sometimes its hard to believe its only been five years,

and sometimes it feels like yesterday.

i do know, the last 5 years have been the best of all my 29.

i still get butterflies.

i still have to pinch myself to make sure i'm not dreaming.

i still cant wait for you to walk in the door.

i still cant believe you chose me.

i still look forward to the next 5 + forever.

ken, you are the best thing that is mine.

dear baby haws,

last week was your blessing day. (august 1st) and what a beautiful day it was!

your daddy gave you the most beautiful blessing. he blessed you to always have a deep love for the lord.

he blessed you to be a leader among your siblings. he blessed you to have a strong and able

body that would help you carry out your mission here on earth. he also let you know what a joy

you are to our family.

you are so lucky little haws,

to have a father who honors his

priesthood, and grampies who do too.

there was a lot of yummy food.

and there were a lot of family

and friends there who love you.

of course your big brothers were there too.

baby haws, may i echo your dad by saying what a joy you are to us! you have brought so much love and happiness to our home. there is so much about you that lets me know exactly where you came from. you are such a sweet, good natured baby. i love smelling your sweet sour cream breath when you giggle at me. you are the last thing i see before i go to bed and the first thing i see when i wake up, what a treat for me! no one looks at me the way you do haws. your big brown eyes follow my every move and give me the satisfaction of knowing i really did have something to do with you and your blue eyed blond haired brothers:)

haws, i know you will live up to all the blessings you were blessed with this day and so much more. may you always know how much your momma loves you little one.

the circus train stopped by our house this week,

in honor of my little tatie-bugs 4th birthday!

you better grab a beverage and get comfy, there were too many cute

pictures for me to pass up...

soda-pop the clown made a special guest appearance.

she was as cute as ever and definitely a crowd favorite.

with the birthday boy as the very special helper.

and as a parting gift tate gave all his circus buddies some

what a fun day we had celebrating with family and friends. a very big thank you to my sisters and gramma sue for ensuring the day was a magical one. i hope my little peanut knows how much his mamma loves him. happy birthday tatie.

before you get shocked that lindsay actually updated,
you should know that this is not lindsay....
it's her little sister, paige.

does lindsay know that i'm doing this? nope.
but probably like the rest of you, i wanted her to update her blog.
and since she's been well..... uh..... busy,
i took matters into my own hands.

did you know she was pregnant?
probably not. she never announced it on here,
well, folks... she's not pregnant anymore!

this DARLING little boy was born on May 10, 2010 at 9:27 am.
weighing in at about 8 lbs 9 oz {i think i might be making that up?}
and 22 inches long..... we proudly introduce baby boy #3

Haws Ephraim Peterson

sometimes he looks like crew, and sometimes he looks like tate,

but he's definitely all peterson.

Tate and Crew absolutely LOVE him.
And after weeks {actually months} of calling him wolverine,
they are even calling him Haws now.

he is the most perfect baby.
he rarely cries, and he sleeps all day long.
maybe lindsay will attest to that,
and give you more of the deets later.

but maybe she will update when he turns one?

But for now, i hope you enjoy looking at that adorable little face as much as we do.

Congrats again, petersons! we're so happy for you.

well we gave thanks.

watched little tatie preform at his preschool thanksgiving show. (actually turn his head, refuse to sing and occasionally flash a crusty at the camera...love ya bug.)

ate lots and lots of yummy food,

hung out and laughed and laughed,

for my (hhmm, hhmm...) 29th birthday all i wished for was to have R pattz.

and the gang back in my life...and you know what, THEY DELIVERED!

my sisters and i (my mom came a little later:) stood out in the freezing cold, for an

undisclosed amount of time, to ensure the best seats possible for the midnight showing of

NEW MOON.

we froze, i got stung by a bee, we got in a few showdowns with some late comers trying to

butt in line, (oh no you didn't...)

and fell in love all over.

and it only got better the 2nd and 3rd time around!

even though jacob was darling and had a six pack that gave the hulk a run for his mula,

we are all still loyal to our first choice (and the winning team, i might add)

edward cullen.

love you sissies and mamma, thanks for making my bday such good times!

and thank you kenny, tate and crew, for topping off the weekend with nothin but love.
